Frances Ehrenberg-Hyman was born in New York City and has always used art to express herself in a variety of medias including oils, watercolors, pencil, and photography. She has a BS and an Advanced Masters of Art in Occupational Therapy. While as an Occupational Therapist, she used her artist abilities to assist differently abled children in reaching their full educational and creative potential in school.  More recently, Ms. Ehrenberg-Hyman earned an Associates of Art Degree in Photography at Santa Fe Community College to further facilitate and enhance her creative voice.

For the past 14 years in New Mexico and currently in Colorado, Ms. Ehrenberg-Hyman has maintained a dedicated studio practice.  In her current work, the artist deconstructs and reconstructs her digitally captured images using techniques of floor loom weaving. Those images are hand woven into a new visual language using color and light to recreate the subject.

Ms Ehrenberg-Hyman’s woven photography has been represented by William & Joseph Gallery and The Red Dot on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM. Her work has been accepted into numerous juried Art Shows from 2012 through 2024. She won first place in her category in The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards.
